When we’re overwhelmed, stressed, or stuck in old patterns, our brains often default to the emotional centers—reactive, protective, and fast. These parts are built for survival, not reflection.
In talk therapy, we invite a gentle shift from emotional reactivity to reflective awareness. Together, we help move experience from the limbic system—where raw emotion and survival responses live—toward the prefrontal cortex, where insight, regulation, and intention begin to take shape.
Over time, this process helps create new neural pathways—new ways of seeing, choosing, and relating.

a licensed therapist and fellow human. I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to tell the truth about our inner world, and curious enough to stay with it.
As Carl Rogers once said, "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." That’s the heart of my work: creating a space where acceptance makes change possible.
My background in counseling and recovery work informs a therapeutic approach that’s both collaborative and holistic—centered on curiosity, compassion, and the belief that growth is always possible.
